2018 is set to be an exciting year for Grant Engineering as it celebrates 40 years of providing innovative home heating solutions across the UK and Ireland. Founded by Stephen Grant in 1978, the company has effectively developed and launched 15 heating products to the marketplace, all of which are designed with quality, efficiency and reliability in mind. Take a look at just some of the many company highlights over the years!

1978 – Grant Engineering was founded by Stephen Grant. This year also marked the development of Grants twin pass back boiler which successfully doubled the heat exchanger surface area and delivered a high output for homeowners.

1981 – Grant moved to a purpose built 1,400m2 factory

1983/4 – The innovative twin pass back boiler created in 1978 led to the production of Grant’s first patentable triple pass oil boiler.

1987 – Grant manufactured its first slimline boiler, which is now known as the Euroflame range.

1992 – An additional 10,000 sq. ft. was added to the factory

1996 – Grant UK was established with 34,000 sq. ft. offices and warehouse in England, accounting for 50% of the boiler market.

2001 – Involved the development of the patented Grant condensing technology which first appeared in the range of Grant Vortex condensing oil boilers. A jewel in Grant’s crown of achievements, the unique condensing technology still offers some of the highest efficiencies on the market today due to its efficient operations which involve less oil and lower CO2 emissions than traditional boilers.

2008 – The Vortex Combi boiler was awarded a Best Buy Boiler from Which? – the first time that an oil boiler has been recognised as a Best Buy Boiler. Later this year, in response to the growing interest in renewable energy, Grant released its first renewable heating appliances with the launch of Grant solar panels and the extensive range of stainless steel and copper Grant cylinders.

2016 – In Autumn Grant launched the revolutionary VortexAir Hybrid which combines the trusted Vortex condensing oil technology with the environmentally friendly benefits of the Aerona3 inverter driven air source heat pump (ASHP). At the end of the year Grant also announced an investment of €7million as part of major expansion plans set for completion in 2018.

2017 – Grant’s entire range of Vortex condensing oil boilers are awarded a Which? Best Buy – resulting in 63 Best Buys!

2018 – 40th anniversary, with lots of exciting news and innovations to come!

Think Boilers. Think Grant.
